Where to stay in Da Nang – Beach time baby

Da Nang has a nice and quiet beach. Even on warm and sunny Saturday in March there are no big crowds on the beach.

Funtastic Beach Hostel is a good Da Nang hostel option if you are looking for a budget friendly hostel near the beach.

At about €5 per night including breakfast, Funtastic beach hostel is a a great Da Nang hostel option! They also offer a free shuttle to Hoi An.

Where to stay in Da Nang – Big city life

Dragon bridge Da Nang Vietnam

Are you more of a city kind of gal (or man 😉 )? Go check out Annam Hostel. For about €3 a night you get a nice and clean bed in a 8 bed dorm. This Da Nang hostel is right in the city center. You can go to all the hipster coffee and tea bars on foot. And don’t forget to check out these great cheap and healthy restaurants nearby!

I booked one night and stayed for almost a week, due to it’s great location. They offer cheap scooter rentals (120K per day) and laundry service (25K per kg). The only downside is that the hostel doesn’t really have a great social vibe, but it was easy enough to have a nice chat with the dorm mates.

A maybe even better option is the City Hostel Da Nang. Not only is it brand new, clean and modern looking, the loaction is also perfect. It’s close to local coffee bars, restaurants, Han Market, The pink catholic curch, … Even though there are quite a lot of dorm beds in the room (I stayed in 16 bed mixed dorm), it doesn’t feel like a bid dorm. The awesome capsule beds might have something to do with that. You’ll have a great sense of privacy in your little nest. All for only €3 ( Price March 2018).

Where to stay in Da Nang – Betweener

My first night I spend in this awesome Da Nang hostel called Kon-Tiki. It’s nicely decorated, and the facilities are great. Showers and bathrooms are outside of the rooms which is nice noicewise. For only €4 a night you’ll get a bed in a 10 bed dorm. The curtains around your bed offer you a sense of privacy which is really nice. This way you don’t notice the 9 other people in the room as much :p .  And you get a locker in the room to keep your valuables safe.

They have a well prices scooter rental service and you can have your laundry done for 25K per kg. Another nice bonus are the free bicycles they offer to their guest. But the best is thing about this Da Nang hostel is the staff. They seem to be genuinely friendly, always willing to help and speak English very well.

Do you prefer to be near the beach, in the city center or somewhere in the middle? Let me know!
